Baptism

All most every member of this community is baptized. It is a way to get closer to God. Although it is not necessay, it is encouraged to fully immerse yourself into the Catholic Church. If you do not know what baptism is or why it is important, here is a brief summary.

Baptism is a Catholic sacrament where you admit to your faults and wash away your sins. The early Christians were baptized by being fully or partially immersed in water. The actual word baptism is derived from Latin word baptisma which refers to ritual washing. It is similar to the Jewish tradition Tvilah which was a purification ritual involving one immersing themselves in water. Nowadays, baptism is often done through Asperation, sprinkling of water on the head.
