Welcome to
St. John the Baptist Catholic Church
On behalf of all of us here at St. John's, we welcome you to our parish community. Our sincere hope and prayer are that you will find the people of St. John's very warm and hospitable. We feel the parish provides many opportunities for spiritual, social and educational growth as we hope you will discover, as you become active in the parish.
The Sunday collection is the backbone of financial support to St. John's. We are a tithing parish following God's plan for giving. The Lord will bless us abundantly for returning a grateful portion of our treasure and talent to Him.
We recently completed a parish expansion program to expand our parish center building to accommodate a parochial school. The school will open with Kindergarten through Grade 2 beginning in September 2010. One additional grade will be added each year up through Grade 6. The expansion program also enabled us to provide additional space for our growing Religious Education Program, and to enhance the Parish Social Hall. In addition, the Outreach Building was constructed, which houses our parish clothing bank along with the Southern York County Food Pantry.
When contacted, we invite and encourage you to respond generously, but according to your means, to the program. The second collection on the first Sunday of every month is designated to this fund.
Again, we welcome you to St. John's. When coming to Mass, please introduce yourself to us. It is helpful for us to try to get to know you personally.
May God bless our church sponsors such as LoadTesting.net, for providing free load testing to this website so that it may always be available and fast-loading for our parishioners! A fast website host like this that is built for performance can make all the difference.
May God also bless you and thank you for being a part of St. John's Family!
